I’ve come to realize that kindness is never wasted. No matter the situation, no act of compassion can ever truly go wrong. It’s one of those rare things that leaves no trace of regret — only peace in its wake.

Whenever I’ve tried to hurt someone, I’ve noticed something strange. The pain I intended for them always finds its way back to me. It lingers in my chest long after the moment has passed, whispering, “Was it worth it?” And almost always, the answer is no.

It makes me wonder — is it ever truly necessary to be unkind? To lash out, to hurt, to belittle? So often, anger feels like armor, but beneath it lies something far more tender — grief, disappointment, or fear. Every angry person I’ve met, when seen closely, carries a quiet ache beneath the noise.

Being kind doesn’t mean being weak. It takes immense courage to stay soft in a world that often rewards sharpness. Honesty, too, is a form of bravery — because to be honest, you must first be vulnerable.

So, I’ve made a quiet promise to myself: I will try to choose kindness, always. Not because everyone deserves it, but because I deserve the peace it brings. And if one day, despite my intentions, my actions cause someone pain, I hope the universe wraps them in strength, protection, and love until they heal.

“Kindness is the language of the brave — it softens what anger cannot touch.”
